Piquora helps you review, organize, move, delete, favorite, caption, and collage the photos and videos already in your device's media library, and optionally order physical photo prints of images you select. The great majority of what the app does — browsing albums, culling, building collages, and generating previews — happens entirely on your device.
With your permission, Piquora reads your photo library to display albums, thumbnails, capture dates, favorites, captions, review status, and pending actions. This processing is on-device. Your photos and videos are not uploaded to Piquora's servers except as described in section 3.5.
If you create an account (by email or by signing in with Google or Apple) we store, through our authentication provider Supabase: your nickname, email address, age, gender preference, a user id, and your account creation date. Social sign-in shares only the basic profile the provider discloses to us; we never receive your passwords for those services.
When you buy Piquora Pro or place a print order, payment is handled by our payment processors (see section 5). We receive and store only the payment reference, amount, currency, and status — not your full card number, UPI id, CVV, or bank credentials.
For print orders we collect the delivery name, shipping address, and contact phone/email you provide, plus the details of the items ordered.
When you place a print order, the specific images you chose to print are uploaded securely so they can be produced and shipped. These files are retained only as long as needed to fulfil and support that order, then deleted (see section 8).
A print-quality album is large, so the upload is handed to your operating system's background transfer service and continues after you leave the app or lock your phone. This is what stops a paid order from being lost halfway through, and it transfers only the files for the order you placed — nothing else is sent in the background, and no upload starts unless you place an order. Your device may defer the transfer until it is on wifi or charging, depending on your system settings.
We collect basic usage events (screens viewed, feature actions, and crash/diagnostic information) and technical data such as app version, device model, and operating-system version, to operate, secure, and improve the Services.
Approximate region (no permission needed). Your approximate region is derived from your IP address to show prices in the correct currency, route payments to the right processor, and decide whether ads are shown in your country (see section 6.2).
Precise location (only if you allow it). When you tap the option to fill in your delivery address at checkout, and only if you grant location permission, the app reads your device's precise location once and sends those coordinates to Piquora's servers, which look up the matching street address and return it to prefill the address form. We ask for precise rather than approximate location because an approximate fix resolves to a wide area and frequently produced the wrong locality and postcode, which meant retyping the address anyway. The coordinates are used for that lookup and are not stored as a location history; the resulting address is saved only as part of the order you place. You can decline the permission, or grant approximate only, and type the address yourself — nothing else in the app depends on it.
Photo location metadata. Separately, location information already embedded in your own photos is read to group them by place. That processing happens entirely on your device.
If you use the referral feature we store your referral code, the rewards recorded against your account, and — to detect and prevent abuse — the IP address a referral click originated from.
If you contact us from the app's help form, we store the message you wrote, the reply address, the order it refers to (if any), and basic app context such as your app version and platform, so an operator can answer you and keep a record of what was said.
We process personal data to:
Payments are processed by Razorpay (India), by Stripe (outside India), and, in the Google Play version of the app, by Google Play for the Pro upgrade. Which one handles a given payment depends on where you are and what you are buying. These processors handle your payment credentials under their own privacy policies. Piquora does not receive or store your card, UPI, or banking credentials — only the reference, amount, and status needed to deliver what you bought and meet accounting obligations.
We use basic first-party usage analytics to understand which features are used and where the app can be improved.
The free version of Piquora shows ads supplied by Google AdMob, as banners, occasional full-screen interstitials between actions, and promoted cards in some lists.
On iPhone and iPad, Piquora does not track you. The app never asks for Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) and requests only non-personalised, contextual ads — which is why iOS never shows you an App Tracking Transparency prompt. Advertisers measure campaigns through Apple's SKAdNetwork, which reports results in aggregate and does not identify you.
On Android, AdMob may process your device's advertising identifier and related device data under Google's privacy policy; Piquora does not receive that identifier, and you can reset it or turn off ad personalisation in your device's advertising settings at any time. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, ads are personalised only if you consent through the Google-certified consent form shown in the app, and you can change that choice at any time from Profile → Ad preferences.
Whether ads appear at all depends on the country your IP address resolves to and on a policy we set per country — in some markets ads only begin after you have finished your first album export. Piquora Pro removes ads entirely, everywhere.
Two different things send you notifications. Reminders you set yourself — such as celebration reminders — are scheduled and fired entirely on your device. Separately, if you allow notifications, your device registers a push token with us so we can send announcements such as a new article; that token identifies the installation, not you, and is delivered through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can turn notifications off at any time in your system settings, and we delete tokens that your device reports as no longer valid.
Piquora does not sell your personal data. We share personal data only:
